Our Story Begins

The Bormioli family establishes its first glassworks in Fidenza after moving from Altare.

1854
Bormioli Rocco Takes Shape

The family expands into Parma, and the business later becomes ‘Bormioli Rocco e Figlio’.

1911
Glass for Everyday Life

Bormioli Rocco begins producing glass food containers.

1927
Growing in Fidenza

Fidenza Glassworks is established and later becomes a key Bormioli Rocco production facility.

1948-1955
Rebuilding & Modernizing

The company rebuilds and modernizes production with new equipment.

1960
Advancing Tempered Glass

The first machinery for tempered-glass products is developed.

A New Way to Preserve at Home

Quattro Stagioni is introduced as a jar suitable for home pasteurization.
